Gloria Flores
Gloria is the Sales Manager at CVS, and has been with the company since 1996. Her experience with agriculture goes back much further though, since Gloria grew up in a family of seasonal farm workers. Her primary responsibilities include day-to-day sales and service to our ever-increasing group of endive customers throughout the United States and internationally. Gloria has had specialized training in produce sales, and often represents CVS at seminars and trade shows. Alan Folan As Director of Agricultural Operations, Alan is charged with field production of chicory roots, from the sowing of the seed through the delivery of the roots to our cold storage facility. Alan is a graduate of Hartwell College in Salinas, CA, with a degree in General Agriculture, and joined CVS in 2000. He has many years of experience in the vegetable industry with special expertise in organic production, and is also certified as an Agricultural Pest Control Advisor. Howard Hoffman Howard is Vice President of Endive Operations at CVS. His responsibilities include general oversight of the entire endive production process, as well as the company’s human resources and food safety programs. A graduate of California State University at Chico, Howard holds a degree in Agronomy. Prior to joining CVS in 2000, Howard worked for 15 years in commercial mushroom production. Carla Lacey As Chief Financial Officer at CVS, Carla focuses most of her time and attention on the bottom line. But, she grew up on a farm in California’s San Joaquin Valley, and has hands-on experience growing everything from cotton to grapes to broccoli. Carla holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting as well as an MBA from the University of Southern California, and is a Certified Public Accountant. She has been with CVS since 1998. Celina Lemus Celina, our Production Manager, grew up in a farming family, and graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in Soil & Water Science. Her responsibilities include all of the farming that takes place in the forcing rooms at the CVS facility, as well as managing the “pick/pack” production lines. Prior to joining CVS in 1998, Celina worked for a seed company and a winery. Suresh Raj Suresh is the Maintenance Manager at CVS, with responsibility for keeping all of our production equipment running smoothly. A native of the Fiji Islands, Suresh migrated to the United States with his family in 1963. He settled in Northern California and went to work in farming. Suresh graduated from Foothill College with a degree in Electronics, and worked for a number of semi-conductor and control system companies in the Silicon Valley. In 2002, with over 20 years of electro-mechanical experience, Suresh joined CVS. |
